Making Love, Not Porn.

Alright perverts. We've hinted around it long enough, itching to fill you all in on the details but required to wait it out. The time has come and we're finally able to reveal exactly what it is we've been so damn excited about for the past year.

Around Christmas, we were contacted by Cindy Gallop, who you might know from her TED talk "Make Love, Not Porn" (NOT anti-porn AT ALL, as many people assume) or perhaps from her fucking rad Black Apartment (the same apartment she asked us to come meet her in to discuss some things). GULP.

We were understandably excited and TOTALLY nervous. She had apparently seen some of our videos and liked what she found. She filled us in on an idea she was working on, a web start-up that spoke to us so directly it was actually hard to believe.

The concept speaks directly to her TED talk, which is about many things, but mostly how many of us are learning about sex through pornography. Which, in turn, means the results in the bedroom are tragic at best. Porn sex isn't how most people have sex. It's sanitized, filmed in crazy positions, rarely ever considerate of female pleasure, full of fake moans and faked enthusiasm. But then you already know our stance on the porn industry at large, so we won't delve back in.

So all this is to say that Cindy and her fucking badass team's goal is to present a new version of porn. In fact, let's stop calling it porn. Let's call it #realworldsex.

And while yes, this is technically "amateur," it's by no means amateur. As you can probably tell from some of our videos, we have experience with this stuff, we know what we're doing and we take pride in it. This isn't "just shoot it on your camera phone and slap that shit on Xtube sex." This is sex. Real sex. But captured beautifully. Thoughtfully. Patiently.

Okay, so all of that sounds fucking awesome, doesn't it? There's got to be some catch, right?

Yes, it costs money to watch, but not a whole hell of a lot. The videos can be rented for $5, half of which goes right to the people that make them (yours truly).

After all, we'll be blunt, this stuff takes time. A lot of time. And it's because of that we welcome the opportunity to be supported by the people that love what we share, and would be totally flattered if you checked out a video or two on the site.

We'll still be blogging. Still be sharing photos. Still be all slutty and scandalous on Twitter (and Tumblr). None of that will change.
