Toy Cleaner, Yes or No?

Guys, I did it. I bought my Lelo, inspired in great part by all your sex-positive writing. But when the store clerk asked if I was set for lube & toy cleaner I automatically replied "of course", but it wasn't until I left the store that I realized that was halfway towards a blatant lie. I've always washed my toys with soap and water and didn't even know there was such a thing as cleaner designed specifically for vibrators and the like. (Lube, on the other hand...) So, being that this is my first "high end", proper vibrator, I was wondering how you guys clean and store your arsenal?

Do you two have any lube preferences?

Indeed, we do! We, being the Brooklyn organic-local-hippies that we are, tend to like to use things with the fewest unpronounceable ingredients possible. We enjoyed Astroglide's glycerin and paraben-free version for quite a while, until we graduated to Sliquid's H2O. It's water-based, fragrance-free, basically the next best thing to pussy juice.

Most often, when we're using lube, it's for anal sex. In that case, we cannot say enough good things about Maximus. It lasts an extra long time and doesn't get as sticky as some others.

What kind of lube did you use for your first forays into anal? What is your recommendation?

Violet, or Rye, or both - any suggestions regarding amateur anal for a couple? Tried it for the first time tonight (albeit in the shower), but my girlfriend ended up pretty sore. Any advice would help (lube, position, pace etc.). Cheers!

OH MY. Oh. Shower? OH NO.

Okay. It was a good idea. Steamy, warm, relaxing. All great things. Unfortunately for you and your girlfriend's b-hole, the butt does not self-lubricate. Which means that you need lots of lube for things to go well. And in a shower, any natural moisture or oils or anything that may have helped will be washed away. Which is why she's probably feeling a little tender at the moment. This is an unbelievably common mistake, so you definitely shouldn't feel too badly, but you should probably buy her a bottle of champagne and give her a massage, just to be on the safe side.

We have Astroglide and Sliquid H2O, both of which are glycerin and paraben free. For people with no harsh chemicals in the apartment and a steady diet of organic food, we watch what goes into our bodies in all aspects of life.

We VERY rarely use lube though, as we're both fans of oral pretty much always. And if we're having a quickie, nothing works better than my mouth on her cunt for a few seconds.

Additionally, Violet gets VERY wet, VERY easily. But sometimes lube is fun.
